1. WHAT IS GESYLAND.EU
Gesyland will be a synthetic replica of Germany. Synthetic populations are of utmost importance for a large amount of scientific research questions, as the true population is not acessible in general.
Synthetic population may be use for e.g.:
- Epidemiological simulations
- Traffic simulations
- Testing data science and statistical methods
2. WILL I BE ABLE TO USE GESYLAND.EU
Gesyland will be made available open access for research and education purposes. For commercial use we are developing a pay to use plan. The money will be reinvested for the continuous improvement of the methodology and the data quality
3. CAN I CONTRIBUTE
As soon as the basic framework is set and the first data is usable and available a Git wil be set up. Third party contributions are welcome.
4. HOW IS GESYLAND.EU FINANCED?
Gesyland is financed by the BMBF - Bundesministerium für Forschung und Entwicklung.
